The much-awaited web series "Mirzapur"(Season 2) has aroused clouds of controversy throughout the nation, and now, Anupriya Patel, the Member of Parliament (MP) from the Mirzapur constituency of Uttar Pradesh, has joined in the controversy.

Mirzapur is a dramatic web-series, centered on crime and alleged bloodshed in parts of northern India. Ever since its release on Amazon Prime, it has become a prominent topic of discussion among many Indian teens and youths. The series comprises brilliant Bollywood actors, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Faizal, Divyendu, to name a few. But at the same time, on the flip side, the series is loaded with the use of obscene and indecent language, which doesn't make it seem a good binge-watch option for the youth.

Mirzapur Web Series also faced stiff opposition from the local masses and natives of Mirzapur, who described the series as a false stigma on the image of their area. The opposition sparked off with #BoycottMirzapur, and now, MP Anupriya Patel's tweets have added fuel to the fire.

Anupriya Patel took to her Twitter handle, and tweeted: "माननीय प्रधानमंत्री @narendramodi जी एवं माननीय मुख्यमंत्री @myogiadityanath जी के नेतृत्व में मिर्ज़ापुर विकासरत है।यह समरसता का केंद्र है। मिर्ज़ापुर नामक Webseries के ज़रिए इसे हिंसक इलाक़ा बताकर बदनाम किया जा रहा है।इस सीरीज़ के माध्यम से जातीय वैमनस्य भी फैलाया जा रहा है (Meaning: Under the leadership of our respected PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath, Mirzapur is in a developing stage. It is a harmonious constituency. The Web Series Mirzapur has been degrading the image of the constituency by portraying Mirzapur as a violence-prone and crime-centric area. The Web Series is also creating disharmony by spreading religious hatred.)

Anupriya Patel is strongly against the caste-discrimination propaganda and the uncensored use of obscene and indecent language in the web series, which are degrading the image of Mirzapur constituency and the people of the area. She alleged that due to the above-mentioned factors, a wrong picture of Mirzapur constituency is being painted in the minds and hearts of the youth of Uttar Pradesh and India, at large. Due to this, Anupriya has requested Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to look into the matter.

Mirzapur Season 2 has become the most controversial web series of India, so far, and after MP Anupriya Patel's tweets, the controversy has fuelled.
