BSNL New Broadband Plans Launched Starting 299 - March 2021
BSNL has come up with a new idea for its expansion attracting more and more customers, but they went a little bit too exclusive on their strategy. Here’s all you need to know about BSNL’s newest venture.
Lately, BSNL launched a new series of data plans for its DSL customers. As BSNL’s 90% of the services are based on DSL and the Fiber Optic Services are still in the process of reaching out to the common people, it makes sense for BSNL to be working on expanding their DSL services. However, BSNL didn’t really step into the competition with other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as Jio and Airtel. The target audience of these services seems to be the people living in remote areas of the country where they don’t have any option other than BSNL. BSNL has tried to provide them with better speed and more data with its newest plans to help them work or study (use internet-based services) more efficiently.
The most basic plan introduced by BSNL is just a promotional plan, meaning the plan will be available for a time period of only 6 months and would expire thereafter. So the customers taking this plan would be automatically shifted to a step higher plan after a time period of 6 months. This promotional plan costs ₹299 + 18% GST per month and provides 100 GB per month (Unlimited) at a speed of 10 Mbps. What unlimited here actually means is after the exhaustion of customer’s monthly 100 Gb data, internet services would still continue at a lower speed of 2 Mbps.
The plan that comes in next doesn’t consist of much of a change in terms of speed, what really changes is the amount of high-speed data provided to the customers. Costing a price of ₹399 + 18% GST per month, this plan provides 200 Gb data per month at a speed of 10 Mbps. And the internet services still continue after the exhaustion of monthly 200 Gb at a lower speed of 2 Mbps.
The plan that is just a grade above provides even more amount of data at the same speed. Costing ₹555 + 18% GST per month, this plan provides 500 Gb data per month at a speed of 10 Mbps. The internet services still continue after the exhaustion of monthly 500 Gb at a lower speed of 2 Mbps.
All the plans come in with one more added benefit. BSNL is also providing unlimited voice landline calling along with all of its plans. The security deposit fees of any one of these plans would be ₹500. All these plans are being launched on 1st March 2021 and the promotional plan is available for new users only.
BSNL is also providing long-term plans. The benefits on the long term plans include 15 days free on advanced payment for 6 months, 45 days free on advanced payment of 12 months, 105 days free on advanced payment of 24 months and 165 days free on advanced payment of 36 months.
These plans could turn revolutionary for people who have only a basic requirement of the Internet. The speeds of these plans are nothing insane and these speeds are achievable over mobile data too. For the people who only need internet service and would be alright with compensating the speed for an unlimited amount of data, these plans could come in handy and would suit best for their day-to-day use.
